No matter what time of year you plan your visit to Burlington, there is much to see and do at the Old Town Museum! Our exhibit buildings are open all year, as well as The Emporium.

Various year-round and seasonal activities bring Old Town to life and provide entertainment for all ages! Please note special admission rates may apply to some events.


Old Town is open year-round 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and Closed  on Sundays. 

Entrance fees:

$8 for seniors (60+)

$10 for adults

$6 for children (12-17)

$4 for children (3-11)

Children under 3 are admitted free.

Military are admitted free.

Summer Activities

In the Summer you can see our World Famous Gunfighters and Can Can shows every Saturday at High Noon (Ok, they might not be World Famous…..yet) . Fist fights and gunfire portray what you might have witnessed in towns across the United States at the turn-of-the-century.

Wild West Dinner Theatre

Served at 6:00pm on the fourth Friday and Saturday evening during the summer* at the Longhorn Saloon, the Country-Style Dinner will not disappoint. Ticket includes meal, and full melodramatic show with gunfight!


Dates for Dinner Theater:
June 1st & 22nd
July 20th
August 10th

Adult dinner theater ticket is $25 and kids 4-11 are $12. 3yrs old and under are free.


Take in a show, enjoy our Wild West Dinner Theatre, grab a delicious ice cream treat, and visit with our friendly staff and cast.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Museum open all year?
Yes, Old Town Museum is open every day except for Memorial Day, 4th of July, Veteran’s Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Christmas and New Years Day.  However, hours and activities vary so please check the current schedule of activities.


Do you have parking for motor coaches and RVs?
Yes, there is free parking in front of Old Town Museum, appropriate for large vehicles and additional parking in the North lot of complex.  There is no charge for parking.


Do you have wheelchairs or strollers available to rent?
The Museum has several wheelchairs available at no charge on first come first served basis.  Strollers are allowed but not provided.


Do you allow pets?
We allow service animals and small pets that are potty trained, friendly, and on a leash are allowed inside the complex.


Do you have any smoking areas?
No, for the safety of our artifacts and buildings, smoking is NOT permitted inside the complex. Smoking is permitted outside the main entrance.


When are gunfights and shows scheduled?
The Old Town Gunfighters perform at noon every Saturday from Memorial Day until Labor Day weekend. The Longhorn Saloon Can-Can show are also Saturdays at High Noon from Memorial Day thru Labor Day weekend.


Our Wild West Dinner Theatres are on the fourth Friday & Saturday of the month from Memorial Day until mid-August.  For additional dates please refer to our upcoming events or contact the Museum office.
